Welcome!

This web site is related to the Pastoral Area of North East Hampshire which is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth.

In 2005, Bishop Crispian created his vision for the future of the Portsmouth diocese in his consultation document "Growing Together in Christ".  As a result of this consultation, the Pastoral Plan "Go Out and Bear Fruit" was created to summarize the direction in which the Bishop wants the diocese to develop and grow.

This web site is dedicated to ongoing formation within the pastoral area so that we may be “good soil” in which the Bishop’s vision can be realized.  Our aim is to:

Help people to recognize and use the gifts and talents that God has given them

Encourage people to recognise and affirm the gifts of others, and ensure that there are opportunities for these gifts to be used

Empower people to make their gifts available to the Church

Encourage a greater sense of fellowship and prayer

To make Christian discipleship a way of life with a new understanding of what it means to follow Jesus without counting the cost

As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit, and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.

(Matthew 13:23)
