The emphasis of this session will be on exploring our place as disciples within our church community; that we have both right and the obligation to place our gifts at the discernment and use of that community as mature disciples

Christian's are always aware that they are responsible for the use of the gifts they have received, and know they will be required to give an account before God in the fullness of time.

If everything is God's and does not belong to us, it follows that all is to be shared equally and fairly with others. To be open and generous with our faith and our gifts is a responsibility, a duty.  

Jesus tells us many times in his parables that it is no good just to sit on our talents and do nothing with them. We must use them wisely, work hard and enable them to develop and grow, then return them with thanks for the blessings we have received.
